About Me

I’m Shelley McCaul-Parent, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Michigan, offering online therapy for adults who want to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves.

My passion is helping people move beyond old patterns of anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion — to create lives that feel lighter, calmer, and more authentic. I believe healing happens when we have a safe space to explore what’s beneath the surface and reconnect with who we truly are.

​

Since I was 18, I’ve devoted my life to helping others heal. I began my career working in a group home supporting individuals with schizophrenia, then served as a crisis counselor for Hurricane Ike survivors, a counselor for women living in a shelter, and later, a college instructor who guided students through stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges.

​

In addition to my counseling background, I’ve been a massage therapy educator and practitioner since 1998, giving me a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection — how emotional pain often shows up in physical ways, and how body awareness can be a powerful tool for healing.

My approach blends evidence-based and experiential methods including EMDR, DNMS/Internal Differentiation, Somatic Processing, Mindfulness, and CBT techniques. Whether we’re working on trauma recovery, anxiety, self-worth, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.
